A family-friendly gospel concert, will be held at Shenstone Baptist Church (Brantford) on May 7th at 7 p.m.  Winston and Doreen Johnson and their daughters, Karen Burke and Tracy Cain sang as the Winston Johnson Family for many years. Now with the addition of Jenna and Tara Burke, Karen's daughters, they are known as Generations. You will enjoy an evening of vocal and instrumental arrangements of gospel music in solo, duet and group format by this family group.    A freewill offering will be taken.

94.3 - FaithFM of Kitchener Ontario began broadcasting in February 2004.    Its mandate is to provide a variety of Contemporary Christian music with a special emphasis on Canadian Christian artists.   Doreen Johnson was interviewed during the Home Bound program hosted by Brad Loveday on May 12..     Doreen's debut CD God Knows Best was nominated for a VIBE Award for gospel album of the year in the URBAN/SOUL category. The VIBE awards were held in Toronto, Ontario on May 14,15 at Queensway Cathedral.
 
Lakeshore Pentecostal Camp has announced its line-up for the Saturday Night Concert Series during the months of June, July and August. The gospel artists for the summer include such names as The Imperials and Scott Wesley Brown and John Starnes. On Saturday July 10, Eduard Klassen and Doreen Johnson will share the platform to bring their own unique style of worship songs.  This is not the first time for these two to minister together --- so look forward to an enjoyable evening. Lakeshore Pentecostal Camp will celebrate Heritage Days a camp for the 50 plus during the week of July 11-16.    The speakers for the week are David Slaunwhite of Kentville, Nova Scotia and Church Price of Oshawa, Ontario..   Special music for the week will be Doreen Johnson of Brantford.   

Precept Ministries will host a CREATION MATTERS Conference   in two locations this year.  On August 13,14 the first conference will be held in Brantford, Ontario and the second conference will be held in Calgary Alberta on October 1,2 .  The keynote speaker will be Dr. Kurt Wise and several seminars will be held during the day. Doreen Johnson will lead the worship time at the conference in Brantford.

Brantford Gospel Singer Releases Debut CD

BRANTFORD, Ontario—September 25, 2003—Gospel singer Doreen Johnson releases her first CD on October 18, 2003. A special CD release concert will be held at the Shenstone Baptist Church in Brantford, Ontario. The concert will feature the Winston Johnson Family along with Generations — another Johnson family group that includes Doreen's daughters and grand daughters. Start time is 7:00 p.m. and tickets are $10.00 in advance and $12.00 at the door.

The album, entitled “God Knows Best” and produced by Oswald Burke, will be released on the Micah Records label and will be available in record stores and Christian Bookstores nationwide.Fans of Doreen will not be disappointed as this release was crafted from a mix of classic hymns, contemporary and traditional gospel songs that have been the core of her dynamic live performances for many years now.
